This is the 20th annual M-AHSC water trial. Mark you calendar for this annual event, held this year in Lititz, PA at Elizabeth Farms. A special feature of this years event is an AKC WATER TEST for English Springer Spaniels.

REGULAR STAKES - -NOT NECESSARILY IN ORDER OF RUNNING
[Complete Rules will be available for review at grounds]

  • GUN DOG -- Any dog. Steadiness is not required. Single marked hunting scenario retrieves; 30 to 50+ yards in length.
  • JUNIOR HANDLER -- Open to any dog handled by a person under the age of 16 years. Single marked retrieves 20 to 40+ yards in length. Judging will focus on the handler and how the handler & dog work as a team.
  • STEADY PUPPY -- Dogs under the age of 2 years. Must be steady to wing and shot. Single marked retrieves; 20 to 35 yards in length.
  • UNSTEADY PUPPY -- Dogs under the age of 2 years. Single marked retrieves; 20 to 35 yards in length.
  • OPEN -- Any steady dog. Single and double marked retrieves; 40 to 80+ yards in length. Dogs must be absolutely steady to wing and shot.
  • Splashimus Maximus This is open to all handlers and all ages of dogs, with the the judging going only on the water entry.
Rosettes for first four places in each regular stake and Puppy Derby.

HANDLER-SELECTS-GUNNER CHALLENGE

  • A money stake with $10 from each entry going into the pot -- winner take all; open to any dog. The HSGC is an elimination event, with no fixed number of series. Handler selects one gunner from the official gun pool. Two live birds (pigeon) are thrown simultaneously for each dog. This is an extremely exciting event, that challenges the wing shooting talents of our gunners and the ability of your dog to complete a true double retrieve!!
GAME : Pigeon will be used for puppy and junior handler stakes; Pigeon, duck or pheasant will be used in the OPEN and GUNDOG stakes.

TRIAL FORMAT : All Stakes will consist of two (2) series; A third series may be run, at the discretion of the Judges, to establish placements for a given Stake.

REGISTRATION : Pre-registration will be accepted until 7/31/10 for a discounted entry fees. Walk-up registrations will be accepted the day of the event for the FUN TRIAL . Registration for all FUN TRIAL stakes starts at 8:00 A.M. and will remain open for each stake until the start of that particular stake.
