This breeding continues the tradition of the Smythwicks linebreeding back to FC AFC Valleyviews Buddy of Ruchar "Buddy". The outcross portion of the breeding features grandsire FC AFC CFC Hellfire's Fast Track MH MX AXJ CD VS "Indy", the foundation sire of the Fast Track line and quite a versitile springer.

The rest is a fine continuation of the Ru-Char, Triple Ridge's and Boones tradition. FC Triple Ridge's Tom Boy "Sissy" has a proven track record producing high quality pups. And to top things off, the retrieving monster FC Smythwicks Slick Willy "Willy" is in the mix.

Shiloh's last breeding to Boone's Mystique Gryphon Dawn "Dawn" produced a litter of exceptional pups. This litter should be nothing less. Whether on not the pups are used in competition, we know they will be a constant delight and a source of amusement, in the home or in the field.

Shiloh's Chief Hellfire, a young but successful trial dog, shows a lot of flash and speed in the field. He is definitely one to catch your attention. This dog loves birds and he loves his handler. Trained by Ralph Botti and often run by owner Jim Boone he has proven himself to be a force to be reckoned with. Shiloh is a product of an Indy x Sissy breeding, perhaps the most sucessful 'nick' of this decade. He has a very level temperment and is a joy to handle. I have worked in group training sessions with this dog in excess of 20 times and have had ample oppportunity to observe him in the field - he is the "real deal."

 

 

Smythwicks Bushwacking Jenna SH is a Smythwicks trial dog and all around hunter, in the tradition of FC Smythwicks Willy (her grand-sire) and FC AFC Smythwicks Mighty Whitey (her uncle). She also has a great nose and incredible speed. Jenna loves water and is used extensively as a non-slip retriever in spring creek duck and goose hunts, and she hunts grouse and woodcock, even bunny. Jenna has retrieving desire that would put most retrievers to shame, and shows the perseverance that is the hallmark of Willy and his progeny (preceeding links go to photos). In her earlier years she was perhaps the fastest dog in the circuit.

Spaniels for field and home - Jenna is a house dog and a constant companion. Her light coat cleans up quickly after a hunt. At 36 pounds she is quite compact and often travels curled up in a small ball in the front seat. Shiloh takes after his mother Sissy, the sweetheart of the East, who is also on the small side with a light to moderate coat. He is essentially the same size as Jenna and has marvelous bone structure. Be aware, the Shiloh x Dawn breeding produced some pups now in the 50 pound range.

If you are going to invest time and energy in training a spaniel the last thing you want is an unpleasant health issue cropping up down the road. To maximize your odds our breeding stock has been carefully selected and tested. The bakgrounds are well known. The purchase price of the puppy includes tail docking to traditional field length, dew claw removal, vet health check, first immunization, de-worming, canine ophthalmologist eye exam at about seven weeks, AKC registration form, and a limited health guarantee. Ordinarily, pups are sold with full AKC registration rights. The purchase price of a puppy is just a small portion of the lifetime ownership expense. We believe the extra expense in securing the necessary health clearances is a worthwhile expenditure.
